All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter). Because we use solid metal the surface of your acorn and oak leaf Christening necklace and box will never flake like silver plated Christening gifts. To clean just wash with warm soapy water. All our designs are made exclusively by us in Wiltshire.
