Made By Ore

Made By Ore founded in 2010 by RCA alumni Caren Hartley and Lucie Gledhill, is a collective brought together by a love of making.

Extracting metal from metal ore, like the thought process itself, starts with exploration, estimation, development and activity, refining and perfecting until the balance of concept and material is found.

Made By Ore runs professional and creative metalwork and jewellery workshops from our dedicated teaching studio in East London. We have classes to suit all levels of experience and we keep class numbers small so that each student gets plenty of opportunity to ask questions and the individual support they need to create their own beautiful designs.

Together we champion the professional and traditional hand-making skills that we have learnt and developed in our own jewellery careers, sharing them with our students to help them fulfill their potential as makers.
