A beautiful little set of two wildflower mixes designed to attract bees and butterflies, presented in a bee embossed gift box.
Ideal as a gift for for bee lovers, mums and gardeners, or to have a beautiful garden in time for Easter! Perfect as an eco friendly gardening gift, mother's day present, or as a treat for yourself!
Each tin contains 20 wildflower seed balls (over 600 seeds) - made from a mix of British wildflower seeds, peat-free compost, clay and chilli powder rolled into a protective ball. Simple and fun to use - scatter on top of soil or compost, water and nature will take care of the rest. No gardening expertise or digging required :) Together the tins will cover 2 square metres in a garden bed or 5-10 pots.
Artist's Meadow: A mix of native wildflowers inspired by our favourite artist, Yvonne Coomber. Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds per ball from a mix of Common Poppy, Oxeye Daisy, Musk Mallow, Corn Marigold, Purple Field Scabious, Red Campion and White Cow Parsley.
Mum's Meadow: A super wildflower gift tin for your Mum based on our Plantlife mix. Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds per ball from a mix of Meadow buttercup, Oxeye daisy, Red clover, Self heal and Yarrow.

Each tin will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (total coverage of the set is 3 square metres and 12-18 pots. Leave at least 10cm between each ball. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.
We make the balls ourselves from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects the seeds from ants, birds and mice, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. Wildflowers are naturally slow to grow and the balls can take 2-4 weeks to begin to sprout. Some will flower in the first year and others may not flower until the second year, but the display should keep getting better each year :) The more they are initially watered the quicker they will be to start to grow, although they will be ok to leave them to the rain to water them as well :)
Tins are made by the last tin can maker of London with a help of a solar farm on the factory roof.
