Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat translates as Fortune Favours the Brave, a great motto to live by and perfect inspiration for anyone facing a new challenge.
Featuring wings, a heart and a sword the design brings to mind feelings of freedom, courage and strength.
Fortune Favours the Brave is one of the better known Latin motto's and it's one of my personal favourites.
You have to take risks in life, whether that's by aiming too high, over-reaching, asking someone on a date, applying for a job you think you'll never get, taking on a task that seems impossible to achieve, it's more than believing in your abilities, it's accepting you don't know the limits of your potential until you really go for it!
Sarah designed this range for her daughter, the sister to the 2littleboys. A young woman with no time for stereotypical girly things, she can walk around with a pin that says ‘loved’, ‘she flies with her own wings’ or ‘I am not led, I lead’ - that all happen to be in latin, so they’re sort of secret which makes them extra special.
Each pin comes very neatly attached to its own backing card with the English translation prominently displayed (just in case you don’t speak fluent latin).
Also Available from the Two Little Boys Ltd Storefront are pins:
Stercus Accidit - Enamel Pin Badge - For anyone who knows or needs reminding - "Shit Happens"
Amata Sum - Enamel Pin Badge - For a woman who is loved - "I am Loved"
Non Duco, Ducor - Enamel Pin Badge - For someone not easily led - "I Lead, I am Not Led"
Memento Vivere - Enamel Pin Badge - For someone who never has time - "Remember to Live"
Alis Volat Propriis - Enamel Pin Badge - For someone doing it their own way - "She flies with her own wings"
