Re-Imagined, Re-Made Levi's Denim Jacket Fully Embroidered with Japanese Cherry Blossom
Ecological, iconic, a statement piece of slow fashion - our answer to fast fashion.
Beautiful Cherry Blossom design embroidered on to a levi's denim jacket with a Zen Buddhist proverb in Japanese.
Taking inspiration from the beauty and transience of cherry blossom, we have created a truly beautiful piece of art.
We've added the Buddhist proverb 'One Life, One Encounter' which we have interpreted as 'make every second count.'
The English words are sewn into the inside waist band.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is NOT a set of woven patches sewn onto a fast fashion jacket.
This IS approx 90,000 stitches expertly sewn directly onto the back of a levi's jacket.
These jackets are ethically sourced vintage Levi denim jackets reimagined and remade in London.
Each piece features a fully embroidered design with approximately 90,000 stitches directly on to the jacket creating a beautiful work of art with a meaningful message that is utterly unique.
No two jackets are the same.
Three designs with three important messages.
Using Zen Buddhist proverbs as well as direct translations, each jacket is checked by a linguist for accuracy and the English translation/interpretation is attached to the inside waistband for reference - and an extra special touch of hidden detail.
Balance - Two Koi swimming in perfect harmony accentuates the message ‘Beloved Person’ embroidered in Japanese. A wonderful way to let someone know they are very much loved, whilst promoting the importance of harmony and balance in our lives.
Transience - To remind us of the fleeting nature of each moment we have paired Cherry Blossom with the Japanese idiom meaning ‘One Life, One Encounter’ which encourages us to cherish each unique moment.
Resilience - Perhaps the most dramatic of all is the Great Wave, brilliantly embodying the Japanese motto ‘Fall Seven Times, Stand Up Eight’ which, with elegant simplicity conveys the importance of never giving up.
We wanted to create something that would be as unique was the person wearing it.
Fashion comes and goes but icons live forever.
