Botanical Illustration Card - Myosotis Forsteri - Forget Me Not
Inspired by botanical field notes and vintage apothecary style.
These cards would make a lovely gift. A great set to keep on hand for emergencies too for nearly missed birthdays, engagements, regrets, weddings, or my favourite - just to say "hello".
Eight designs, each with a 100% recycled brown ribbed envelope.
All cards are printed in house (trimmed and folded by my own loving hands) on thoughtfully selected 100% recycled card stock.
For this card we chose the less well known Forster's Forget-Me-Not, endemic to New Zealand, living on the banks of watercourses, in forests around springs, seepages and on damp, shaded rock outcrops. Many species of Forget-Me-Not in NZ have a conservation status of threatened, but not, thankfully, Myosotis forsteri. Myosotis comes from the Greek for "mouse's ear", which the foliage is thought to resemble. "Forget-me-not" comes from from the German Vergissmeinnicht and first used in English in 1398 by King Henry IV of England. Myosotis are food for the larvae of some butterfly and moth species.
Greetings (folded card) A6 - 10.5cm wide x 14.85cm high.
Blank for your own words.
