Botanical Illustration Card - Lavandula Stoechas - French Lavender

All cards are printed in house (trimmed and folded by my own loving hands) on thoughtfully selected 100% recycled card stock.
We love Lavender and grow our own (alongside our rosemary). Not only does it smell wonderful (good for calming and sleep) but is great for drying and cooking, the bees flock to it, making us feel happy we can help them along a bit. The flowers also attract hummingbirds and many species of butterflies including painted ladies, woodland skippers and tiger swallowtails. French Lavender actually occurs naturally in several Mediterranean countries, including France, Spain, Italy and Greece. The flowers, which appear in late spring and early summer, are pink to purple, produced on spikes at the top of leafless stems.
