The pages are acid free and archival so perfect for photo storage preserving them for years to come. A good quality, fast drying (so they are less likely to smudge) pen of any colour work well on the white pages, for the black page books i like white, but silver/gold/or a bright pastel colour works well. Edding, pilot, jelly roll are all good makes, however if you would like something really bright white or vivid colour then posca pens are great on black.
