A good quality, fast drying (so they are less likely to smudge) pen of any colour work well on the white pages, for the black page books i like white, but silver/gold/or a bright pastel colour works well. Edding, pilot, jelly roll are all good makes, however if you would like something really bright white or vivid colour then posca pens are great on black.

Available in 3 lovely colours, warm gold, blue grey, and dusky pink. And in 2 sizes - A5 and A4, with either black or white plain pages
