The silk has an Itajime Design - a clamp dye process in which hard steel clamps give geometric design to the fluid silk, and the use of unyielding wooden blocks translate into soft-edged geometric patterns dancing across the cloth. The rustic origin of our itajime silk fabric, hand crafted in the deserts of Western India, belies the luxury of each piece. The silk flows like water and is a pleasure on the skin.
