Hi there, I'm Sarah the founder of Blue Dandelion Ceramics.

After graduating with a First degree in Fine Art I went to work in pottery where I combined my love of design and pattern with my love of clay and mess! My work draws upon times of trawling vintage markets in my student days for interesting patterned fabrics and prints as inspiration for my pieces.

Each and every piece I create is a culmination of years spent at the Potter's wheel honing my craft and it's still a pure joy to this day! After throwing the fine white stoneware I hand paint the coloured slip onto my own colour blend, which I then hand carve those finer details into allowing that natural white clay colour to reemerge through. Creating the striking bold and contrasting effect you see today. They are then fired twice and to a high temperature so are dishwasher and microwave proof.

The combination of fine artistry and high functionality of the stoneware mug create the perfect pairing between beauty and utility.
