The front of each floral coaster place setting is UV printed on to sustainably sourced 4mm oak wood veneer and perfectly cut. We then laser engrave your text on the back of the coasters. Using a beautiful veneer like oak allows the grain of the tree to shine through! Oak is a much higher quality material then birch or poplar plywood that you may seem some makers using. All your coaster needs is a gentle wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking great for years to come.
A word about wood: We work with the best timber merchants in the UK to find the best wood for our products. Please do remember that wood is a natural product and will feature grain, knots, and growing patterns. This is a beautiful feature of all wood veneers and adds to the natural feel of the finished product. We can't guarantee what variations will or will not be present in your finished items. Laser cut wood will always have a slight "burnt" smell from the cutting process. This is completely normal and will fade if you leave the product out for a few days. We always clean the fronts of our laser cut products but there may occasionally be slight marks on the backs as part of the cutting process.
