If you never knitted a stitch before this is a project for you. Absolute Beginner Knitting Kits are all designed from knit stitch squares or rectangles, so perfect for a first project, no shaping, no complicated stitches to confuse you, just the very basics you need to know to get knitting.

This blanket is knitted in garter stitch which gives it a lovely texture. Knitted with three balls of fabulously soft, chunky, British wool, in a gorgeous range of colours reminiscent of a weekend in the Cotswolds. Choose from – Ice-Cream, Winter Walk, Cotswold Stone, Pheasant, Roaring Fire, Sparkling Stream, Blue Skies, Country Green, Drake Green, Frosty Morning, or Night Sky. The blanket in the picture is knitted with Pheasant, Winter Walk and Ice Cream.

The finished blanket is perfect for tucking around a toddler in the buggy or around you knees in the evening!

Please note that because of the slightly fluffy texture of the wool and the tassels this blanket is not suitable for small babies.

The kit has step-by-step instructions for how to cast on, do the knit stitch, and cast off, and another leaflet has instructions about making the blanket.

There is a 'Handmade by me' label that you can use if you are gifting the blanket to someone, and the finished blanket can be packed in the original box.
