ELEPHANT & CASTLE SHOPPING CENTRE: Opened in 1965, it was one of the first American style indoor shopping malls in Europe, offering more than 100 shops on three levels. Over the years it has played a pillar in the local community, a place where cultures merge and celebrate. Sadly, the shopping centre closed its doors for the last time in September 2020.
