Lovely peach Japanese woodblock print with a striking abstract design reminsicent of raindrops on a window pane or light-sparkles on water. A beautiful art-gift.
This rare Japanese art print would suit someone who likes abstract art, the colour pink/peach/pastels and patterns found in nature. It might particularly suit a teenage girl's bedroom. The print has a warm tone and a modern crisp pattern that is striking to look at. It would also suit someone with a liking for Japanese design or who has been to Japan.
The print is roughly a5 in size and would hang nicely on a stairway, hall, landing, WC or studio/office wall. The pattern is printed in dark orangey-peach and white ink. The background is a warm pale peach, which has pale matt gold horizontal lines.
The art print was reprinted in Japan in the 1960s, originally being designed and printed in the early 1900s for a design showcase magazine that was hand printed.
Choose to have this art print arrive in three ways, as is, simply a piece of paper; mounted (sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 " / 25.4 x 20.3 cms frame) or framed. The black and gold frame pictured is made from responsibly sourced timber with real glass from Dunhelm.
Advice for hanging: original artwork should not be hung above radiators / heat sources, nor in damp or steamy rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms or conservatories.
