After I had been painting only a short while, in 2001 I gave birth to my second son. It was at this time I was asked by The Terrence Higgins Trust to paint a piece for the Ralph Lauren Lighthouse Auction and I was humbled when my painting raised an incredible £3,200 - more than Prince Charles’ piece on the night!*
