The Black and White Houses or 'Bungalows' as they are locally referred to are part of Singapore's Colonial heritage.
These stunning dwellings, raised on stilts to aid ventilation with galleried verandahs to reduce the glare of the tropical heat. Surrounded by tropical palm trees, and jackfruit and mango trees, these buildings are statement houses of Singapore's past and present. This Black and White was formerly 'The Stage Arts Club' a Dramatic Arts venue for actors on Malcolm Road.
