Unleash your creativity with this one day workshop.
Running from 10am to 4pm, the workshop will give you the skills and confidence for you to throw a vessel on the potter's wheel. The course is based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire 5 minutes from the historic Trentham Gardens.
We will cover centring the clay on the wheel, throwing cylinders of even thickness, with the aim of producing multiple finished vessels by the end of the day.
This workshop will be fun, informative and creative, focusing on building all the skills you need to start throwing on the wheel independently.
The most succesful vessels will be fired, clear glazed and posted out to the attendee.
This is an ideal gift for anyone who has always wanted to learn this traditional pottery skill.
Students will also be able to choose two of their best pieces which will be fired, glazed and can be collected of posted off first class.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, but please bring a packed lunch!

The course must be booked within 6 months of the date of purchase to remain valid.
We have four potter's wheels, so the course is also available for up to four students to learn at the same time at a lower rate of £190 per person.
If purchasing for one person, please feel free to bring along a friend to observe your throwing skills and to take photos and videos!
