Londoners will love this illustration of the iconic Brixton bridge, hand painted and then printed on beautiful watercolour paper.
The artwork for this print comes from draw the line illustrator, Gaby, and was created with ink and watercolour on location in Brixton, just moments from iconic venues such as Electric Avenue and Market Row. The original painting has been digitised and printed on watercolour paper to produce a soft, matt finish with stunning texture.
The print features a familiar site for many south Londoners: the Brixton Project bridge, whose beautiful design was masterminded by architect Farouk Agoro, designer Akil Scafe-Smith, artist Annie Nicholson, and small workshops of local people who helped develop the final colour scheme, using the iconic string vests of Brixton Market as inspiration. This illustration shows the north side of the bridge, but the south side has a message too: “Stay In Peace”.
Whether you're looking for a unique gift for a London local, or you'd like a unique keepsake of the city for yourself, this A4 print will not dissapoint.
