The box is available in two finishes:

~ a heavyweight cardboard construction with full white laminated coating inside and out. The lid folds shut and is held closed via hidden magnets with a handy ribbon tab to easily open and close the lid.

~ a wooden box made from pine with a whitewash painted finish on the exterior and natural finish inside. The lid is opened via metal hinges at the back and held shut with a metal clasp.
