Variations
VARIATIONS AND PERSONALISATION
- personalised with family forenames (between 4 and 10 names)
- optional title (e.g. family surname) and subtitle (e.g. a date or location) printed underneath the crossword
- colours:
> white text on a black, grey, blue, olive or red background
> black, grey, blue, olive or red text on a white background
We'll design the crossword from the names. We remove spaces and punctuation from all names (so SARAH JANE is printed as SARAHJANE). Please double-check name spellings! If you send the same name twice, we'll include them both - please take care not to send us duplicates by mistake!
It's the nature of crosswords that the words only fit together in a limited number of ways so unfortunately we can't put words in a specified order - we'll put them where the design looks best.
Very occasionally a crossword can't be made from the list of names. If this happens, we'll contact you. It can happen when one name has no letters in common with any other names. We can usually add another word (LOVE or FAMILY, for example) or add another character to two of the names (e.g. a heart).

Framing is not included in the price but is available to purchase via the drop down menu.
UNFRAMED PRINTS
- printed with high quality inks for excellent fade resistance and color reproduction
- available on matte paper or a preimum heavyweight fine art paper
- available in standard sizes so they will fit into standard size picture frames that are widely available, both online and in the shops
CANVAS PRINTS
- ready to hang, canvas prints are wrapped and stretched on an 18mm pine box frame (frame not visible from the front of the print). There's a close-up picture of the rearside of the canvas prints in the image gallery.
FRAMED PRINTS
- 25mm smooth matte black frames with styrene (which won't break in transit!) and MDF backing board. Frames are manufactured in the UK from high-quality solid wood and come complete with hanging fixings.
- frames are great for convenience (they're ready to hang) or if you want to send a gift direct to the recipient, but you'll find more choice (of prices, styles and colours) if you buy your own frame locally
