El Rayo Plata's unique taste comes solely from the beautiful, slow-grown, blue agave that matures in Mexico’s highlands for 8 years. Our distillers use a simple, considered process to draw out the natural freshness. We don’t use botanicals or additives to create flavour because agave is the flavour, we simply preserve the magic, so you can experience it too.

Our beautiful bottles were designed with a local artist from Guadalajara, Mario, and pays homage to the Mexican folklore of the origins of Tequila, which tells of El Rayo (lightning) striking the blue agave. The myth desribes how a local campesino witnessed this moment and followed the burning glow into the distance. The cooked agave plant was discovered; Tequila was born.
