After months of struggling to source the perfect salt cellar, I decided to design one myself. I wanted the design to feel both natural and organic so left the outside unglazed, glazing only the inside. The turning lines on the outside of the salt cellar are the result of a happy accident!

NOTE: SPOON NOT INCLUDED (using your fingers to measure salt is highly recommended)

Variations

Available in two sizes: Regular and Compact (for smaller spaces or perfect for the table)

Dimensions

REGULAR: Larger than regular salt cellars, it can easily take one full box of Maldon salt. Measures 45cm in circumference, 15cm high and 15cm wide, with a generous 9cm diameter opening and sits on a gentle pivot, making it easy to get your hand into when.

COMPACT: Takes about half a box of Maldon salt. Measures 40cm in circumference, 11.5cm high, 11cm wide, with a 7.5cm opening. Also sits on a gentle pivot.

Made from

Each item is handmade from ceramic, a natural material, so will be slightly different.

Best to handwash in luke-warm water.

To remove any grease built up over time, make a paste using baking power and water. Rub the paste gently over the outside of the salt cellar, leave for a short while, then rinse under cold water.
