A Striking limited edition plaster cast wall plaque made using Poppies & Crocosmia plants to create the raised impression
Real flowers are lovely but do not last long, by casting them I am preserving them to be enjoyed forever. The tiles are made by pressing real Poppy seed heads, from Ouseburn Farm, & Crocosmia, from My Aunties garden, into clay. They were then removed, a frame put round & plaster poured over. When this is dry the clay is peeled away to reveal the 3D impression with an incredible amount of detail.
The plaques are all limited editions, signed and numbered on the back. There are 2 keyhole brackets on the back for hanging it on a wall, it looks equally good proped up on a shelf. This would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves plants, flowers, gardening or nature, something they can treasure forever.
