The elegant Barnor notebook is handmade in Ghana from Ahwenepa Nkasa fabric.

Our notebooks are named after renowned Ghanaian artists. This notebook has been named after photographer James Barnor.

FLO London The Shop’s 2021 collection is dedicated to the Ahwenepa Nkasa fabric. Fabrics in Ghana have proverbial meanings. Ahwenepa Nkasa means ‘good waist beads do not make noise’. This is a common proverb among Ghanaians which implies you should let your deeds or character speak for you.

Variations

Our notebooks are unique yet have a broad appeal. Available in four different colours, they are ideal for a variety of different occasions from those back at school or work to note-taking for a hobby or side hustle.

We can beautifully gift wrap your notebook in recycled tissue paper with an Ahwenepa Nkasa fabric bow and we have Ahwenepa Nkasa print cards for you to send with your gift. We can also add a special message on the card.

All of our products come with a card explaining the meaning of the Ahwenepa Nkasa fabric.
