Birds On A Wire Papercut Artwork

Last summer I was walking with our daughter to school when we saw these two gorgeous wood pigeons resting on a telephone wire. They were so content being with each other, enjoying the early morning sunshine. It seemed to me to speak of the profound joy of being with someone you love, doing nothing more than enjoying the sun.

I took a picture of these two and when I got home I set about creating this picture. It's such a simple piece, consisting of the two birds and the wire cut into recycled black card, and mounted on to a blue backing.

It would look ideal in any modern house and will sure to be a talking point. Or as an ideal gift for someone who loves the simple things in life.
