Knit up a set of soft, chunky British garden birds and practice textured stitches with this new downloadable knitting pattern.
Perfect to knit for Spring, these patterns are easy to follow, with clear row-by-row instructions along with lots of photos. To make the Robin, Blackbird, Songthrush and Blue Tit you'll just need to be able to knit, purl, cast on and off, and work increasing and decreasing stitches. All the pieces are knitted flat on straight knitting needles so NO knitting in the round is needed.
To make the four birds you will need:
- Chunky yarn in various colours (you can use any chunky yarn you like- the pattern suggests a mixture of Stylecraft Special Chunky, King Cole Big Value Chunky and Cygnet Chunky)
- A pair of 4.5mm straight knitting needles
- Sewing needles
- Toy stuffing
- Scraps of felt for the eyes
