I wanted to create sets of coasters that could be art centre pieces to a table, out on display even when not in use, something to admire, and a talking point, rather than some coasters that are stacked away in a cupboard for most of their life. When arranged together they form one design, but are equally pleasing to look at and use when split apart into individual coasters.
