A beautifully detailed and textured little twig spoon with an acorn on the end, handmade from lead-free pewter, ideal condiment spoon, salt spoons
A pinch of salt is traditionally defined as "the amount that you can hold between the forefinger and thumb".
There are differing opinions as to the actual quantity of a pinch of salt, and either 1/16 or 1/8 teaspoon (0.3 or 0.6 ml) are the most commonplace.
If it helps, here’s a general rule, there are two dashes in a tad, two pinches in a dash and two smidgens in a pinch. If that doesn’t help, our little acorn spoon will hold 1.2 g (0.04 oz) of heaped, 0.6 g (0.02 oz) rounded and 0.4 g (0.01 oz) levelled salt.
