Aged in refill American oak casks before being finished in first fill European oak Sherry casks, the Balvenie 12 year old Double Wood is a very popular single malt with a complex flavour profile. The nose is bursting with chocolate and raspberry aromas. On the palate, cherries and raspberries combine with sponge cake and spicy cinnamon. The finish is long and satisfying with sweet spice, red fruit and rich sponge cake.
But the whisky is just the beginning. This gift box also includes a selection of artisan treats, all carefully chosen to complement the single malt scotch. The Vintage Organic Cheddar by Godminster is a multi-award-winning cheese that is smooth, creamy and matured for up to 12 months.
Next, the Blackcurrant & Ginger Chutney, handmade by Lady Waterford Preserves, is a deliciously tangy accompaniment. The Fig and Walnut Crackers by The Authentic Bread Co are the perfect addition to a cheese board. While the Duck Rillette with Black Cherry by Cornish Charcuterie is a rich and flavourful spread.
