Handmade Silver Butterfly Stud Earrings

These little butterfly studs are one of my favourites - I've nearly always got a pair on myself! Simple and practical, you'll find you hardly every wear any others.

I heat and cool a sheet of sterling silver before putting it through my wonderful rolling machine in the basement of my shop. Alongside the silver I put some lace which impresses it's pattern on to the silver leaving the delicate texture you see here. I then handcut thebutterflies from the sheet, file the edges and then heat the silver once again. Then I dome the butterflies and solder on the backs. All elementsare sterling silver. The butterfly part of the earrings are approximately 1cm wide.

Your earrings will arrive in a smart silver and black box with 'jemima lumley jewellery' embossed, in silver, on the lid. It closes with a magnetic snap fastener.
