Create your own super-cool hand-made card cactus with our exclusive unique Johny Todd: ProteanArt craft kit.
These cardboard plants are great fun to make, will look fabulous on display and survive without any care or attention!
Make your own perfect decoration for an interior, a shelf or wherever else it looks good! Recommended for ages 10 and up. Children may require some supervision and support.
Carefully written instructions and materials are provided for each stage in the process. Other, readily available, corrugated cardboard packaging can be used to expand the ideas in this kit, or to make further items.
Paint is not included in the base kit, but can be added onto any order if required.
Variations
2 basic shapes (column and barrel) of template are included in the basic kit, but with a bit of imagination, these can be adapted to make many more of your own versions, including a multi-layered complex card cactus.
A more advanced cactus shape version is available for the large 'Prickly Pear' version shown in the images.
Glue sachets are provided in the basic kit, but additional glue can be added if you feel you'll need more. Also, if you have one, a glue gun can prove useful.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A KIT which needs to be made. Images are shown to provide a visualisation of what the completed items might look like.
At the end of its life the cactus components can be 100% recycled or composted.

To make this kit you will need: Scissors, a craft knife, preferably acrylic paints & brush, alternative plant pot or tin* (options to buy a paint set, a brush(es) and more glue are also available for this kit).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A KIT to make a scale model of a cacti.
This kit is an intermediate kit primarily designed for adults, so if you involve children in the making process, adult supervision and support will be required, especially if using sharp tools or a knife. This is not a toy.
