Although mostly known for their winter murmuration displays, Starlings are very beautiful up close too, which is what I wanted to celebrate with this illustration. Proudly made in the UK to the highest standard, my Inky Starling tea towel is both pretty and practical. It incorporates a sturdy stitched-in hanging loop and is fully machine washable. Each illustration has been lovingly hand drawn using the same method. I grow bamboo in the studio garden, cut and dry it, then hand carve into dip pens and use them with ink. These hand-drawn illustrations are then reproduced using UK printers, to adorn this luxurious tea towel. I wanted to celebrate these often overlooked birds and their beautiful colours.
