La Bonne Excuse is the product of a boozy meeting in Glasgow between a French bookseller and a French wine expert! Having both wholeheartedly embraced Scottish culture, we felt that we could not forget our French heritage.

So we decided to offer the perfect French experience for you at home in the UK!

Aurore and Marion

Aurore is the bookseller of LBE. After ten years of exploration in the French-speaking Book industry through different countries (Belgium, Canada, France), and in hospitality. Aurore has always wanted to bring together her two cultures: French and Scottish in a cultural shop. Settled in Glasgow, now the adventure can start!

Marion is the wine & spirits expert of LBE. Her personal background, studies and work experience make her the perfect other half of LBE. After a long experience in New-York and France, she answered the call of the Scottish mountains and moved to Glasgow. Marion has also launched her own champagne brand called “Champagne Constantine”
