This highly detailed 'wading bird' lampshade will add a classic elegance to your home, combining a unique fusion of screen print and applique machine embroidery.

From my original embroidery, this design is transferred to a hand screen print onto 100% linen. I then hand cut small fabric applique pieces and machine embroider them in black stitch work, on top of the birds, accentuating the feathers. The overall appearance is that the whole lampshade is completely embroidered! When the light is on, the stitched birds and fabric really come to life. The shots of colour add a totaly hand-made feel to this large lampshade. It is a truly unique product which takes several processes to complete.

Made from 100% linen. The applique fabrics are all 100% cottons and silks. The lampshade comes complete with two fittings, which fit most European lampbases. These are made to order and can be made up as a pendant light (from the ceiling) or for a table or tall lampbase stand. Please specify when ordering.
