The letter’s outline is water gilded in genuine gold leaf, with damar textured centres; damar resin is a natural product made from tree resin, and part of a traditional recipe paired with a lengthy making-process that has been used by sign-makers for hundreds of years. The split-shadow and background are painted with enamels — all on the reverse side of the glass.
