Our Simply Colours bird box has been designed with the contemporary garden in mind. Whether for the keen gardener, the keen bird watcher, or simply someone who loves colour, by selecting your own colours the bird box can be made entirely unique.

The Simply Colours bird box was created in response to requests for us to design and handcraft a classic box, using our usual top quality timber and paints, but allowing our customers free reign to choose their colours. We've come full circle to return to our original design idea made before we'd even set up the business in 2008!
Perfect for the modern garden, you can choose from a variety of colours for the roof and body. Bright colours might be your thing so we can create a box to reflect that. Perhaps you prefer pastels? We can do it? Classic elegance? Yes, you can choose a calming colour scheme. Have it brightly clashing, or the picture of perfect taste, the choice is entirely up to you! Our Simply Colours bird box is carefully handmade by us here at Lindleywood, We have been handcrafting our painted wooden boxes since 2008 from high-grade sustainable European redwood pine (known as Scot's Pine) supplied by a small local woodmerchant.They are then handpainted with water-based wood paints suitable for exterior use. These paints, by a small independent British manufacturer from the northwest of England (who have been creating paints since 1773), enable us to create beautiful products that are non-toxic to plants and wildlife.
The bird box roof lifts off for easy cleaning, the box comes with full mounting and care instructions (we even include the screws) and it is a usable bird box suitable for birds like sparrows and blue tits.
Important note regarding colours: The colours shown on our paint chart are the colours we have available as standard. Please note that although we have tried to accurately portray these colours, Internet browsers and screens may cause colours to appear slightly differently.
PLEASE NOTE that all items are individually handmade and personalised by us in the UK and each one takes time to produce. Because of the handmade nature, one item will differ slightly from another and may not appear exactly as in the photographs of other products. This means that each product is entirely unique and extremely individual!
Also note that as we make each item from wood there may some variation in grain. Over time there may also be movement in joints and surfaces. This is down to the nature of ‘real wood' as opposed to synthetic materials and we feel further adds to the individuality of each product.

Delivery info
DISPATCH: We handcraft every item to order and rarely carry stock so we will dispatch as soon as your order is made. The estimated dispatch/lead time for all products is listed on each individual product page and is dependent on the type of product and time of year.
Please note that during the summer holidays we operate a longer than usual lead time - this is purely because we are a family business with primary school-aged children and are rather partial to spending time with them doing things like building dens, taking country walks and bike rides, and visiting museums (and we like the occasional camping holiday!) If you need an item on a shorter lead time than that given, please email prior to ordering and we might be able to help.
DELIVERY: We use UPS for all our deliveries. Delivery usually takes 1-3 working days after our dispatch for mainland UK and 2-5 days for other areas, and will require a signature. Delivery to a neighbour is acceptable too.
Please note that product delivery only takes place MONDAY-FRIDAY and the quoted dispatch and/or delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed, unless we have agreed prior to placing your order that we will ship by a certain date.
UK delivery is included in our product prices.
Returns
You have 28 days, from receipt of cancellable goods, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Please note: goods that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements, perishable products and personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken are non-refundable, unless faulty.
