Learn to play Amazing African drum rhythms and sing ancient traditional chants and songs together as a family ( up to six members). Come together in this ancient bonding activity to enjoy, learn and discover more about African Music History and culture. Learning has never been so much fun!! For complete beginners come and learn the basic techniques on your djembe drums(provided for you) and introduction to various traditional African percsusion instruments in a fun interactive way together. As a family you will build up to play simple accompaniments of the multi layered Authentic beats and rhythms together with your music facilitators guidance and encouragement. It is call and response style. Absolutely No previous music knowledge is needed. Your hands will be whizzing around drum before you know it! Sessionscan be booked at our studios in East London at a time convenient to you either mornings or afternoons on Saturdays. subject to availability. suitable for over 5's and always at least one participating adult per group.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
A Lovely Fairtrade African Djembe Drum is provided for each of you by your Drum facilitator. Suitable for over 5 years of age only,
Family session can include Two three four five or six members of the family together in the sesssion but at least one participating adult per group is required.
You will be taught an Ancient drum Rhythm and song to play altogether to help create a joyful, fun and family bonding environment.
