'Welcome To Your World' is illustrated by award winning children's author & illustrator Lucy Tapper, whose unique style of sentimental drawings mixed with fabric patterns, creates a whimsical and memorable book.
At the story's beginning, the baby's date of birth and name are shown to announce 'Welcome To The World!', alongside a beautiful heart illustration and the the introduction of the cute little elephant character. As the book continues, there is a chance to show the hometown/county where the new baby lives (highlighted by a fun 'magnifying glass' over an illustration of the world). We then follow the elephant's journey of discovery looking at the wondrous, exciting & fun things in life. The story ends with a chance to describe who is important in that little baby's world. After the phrase "In your world there is" you could include for example: "your mummy and daddy, your sister Sophie, and your brother Alfie".
