Teenage Dream is ideal for relieving acne, pimples etc. and balancing oily/dry skin. Studies have shown that Teenage Dream is extremely effective at relieving acne, pimples, spots and regulating sebum production. It is an extremely effective natural skin care treatment that contains Jojoba oil together with a unique blend of essential oils.
Variations
It may seem crazy to apply oil to skin that is already oily however since it is similar to your skins natural oils it tricks your sebaceous glands into producing less oil, thereby regulating oil production. Furthermore because jojoba oil does not clog your pores it does not cause acne. Jojoba oil also dissolves hardened sebum therefore unclogs blocked pores. Excess oil production is one of the main causes of acne. Jojoba oil is an excellent moisturizer that is quickly absorbed into the skin without any greasy effect. The unique blend of essential oils relieve inflammation and kill bacteria (another main cause of acne). It also helps balance oily/dry skin and aids in cell regeneration (heals acne scars). One of the essential oils in particular, east cape manuka, has 20 to 30 times the anti-bacterial potency of tea tree oil, which in itself is an effective anti-bacterial.
Other products that strip oil from your skin actually cause your skin to produce more sebum therefore making your acne worse.

It is thought that 90% of teenage acne is caused by demodex mites and that 10% is caused by bacteria. Due to the change of hormones at that age that cause the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum (oil) it makes teenagers facial skin a perfect living and breeding place for demodex mites. They can easily multiply and this in turn causes bacterial infections and acne. It is also no coincidence that people who suffer from severe acne as teenagers go on to suffer from adult acne and rosacea when they get older (which are also caused by demodex mites). Teenage Dream contains a high level of tea tree oil which has been scientifically proven to kill demodex mites. Unfortunately western medicine has not cottoned on to this and is narrow minded when it comes to using natural remedies for medical conditions such as acne. However in Eastern Europe and China it is accepted that demodex mites cause acne and that tea tree oil kills demodex mites.
Teenage Dream treats acne on all fronts and is a great natural alternative to many of the over the counter acne treatments that are harsh on the skin and only treat the symptoms of the acne and not the cause (over production of sebum and demodex mites).
