A magnificently-detailed map of Durham University, showing all of the university buildings, departments and colleges, the arms and motto of every college, and more.
Spread across the medieval city, much of the rest of Durham is depicted too, including the marketplace, Durham Castle, and of course the World Heritage Durham Cathedral - the location for matriculation and graduation ceremonies.
I drew the original map by hand in 2011 using dip-pens and ink. Much has changed across Durham since then with several new buildings and colleges, and the map was most recently updated in 2023 for its eighth edition.
For any student or alumnus of Durham, this map is a must-have memento of student days, and makes a perfect graduation, holiday, or birthday gift.

- Black, ivory, navy, and slate colours to suit a wide range of frames and home decor styles.
- Maps with mounts are not shippable internationally due to the size of the box.
- Maps with mounts are shipped with Yodel (standard) or FedEx (express).
OPTIONAL PERSONALISATION - This map can be personalised (see picture for examples):
- Option A - £20: an inscription along the bottom border.
- Option B - £30: an inscription added into the map itself.
- Entirely hand-drawn & hand-written onto the print, making it truly unique.
- The style of text can vary between italic or upright, antique, cursive, mid-century, bold or regular.
- Please refer to the picture, and add your inscription and calligraphy choice in the box. I will contact you if anything is unclear.
