Our slate signs are quarried from Cumbrian Slate and crafted in our family workshop. The price includes postage and all screws, caps and fittings needed
As our signs are crafted in our family workshop and the slate we use is quarried just down the road we can make sure you get the very best quality and we can help if you have any specific requirements.
We use a traditional V Cut method to engrave our signs that cuts the lettering into the slate so that it looks clean and crisp and will never come off (it is not etched on the slate). We then paint the number in enamel paint so that they will stay looking fabulous for a lifetime, you can choose from white, silver, cream or gold enamel paint. Finally all of our slate signs are polished on the edge to give them a beautiful finish.
The slate we use is Burlington slate, quarried just down the road from our workshop. We have picked it for its fabulous quality. It is a rich dark slate, that is frost proof and will not fade.
The signs come with two drilled holes at the side to make fixing them to a wall easy and we provide the screws, caps and wall plugs. The caps that we provide to go over the screws make a wonderful neat finish and will match your choice of paint.
We have 4 standard sizes available but as all of our signs are individually made please be in touch if you require a different size or lettering and we will do our best to help.
