Our large slate worktop savers are hand crafted from one piece of natural slate. They make a beautiful addition to any kitchen.
Hand Crafted in our Cumbrian workshop they are available in 60cm x 30 cm 60cm x 40cm. They can be used as a worktop saver and also make an excellent large trivet for hot pans.
As the worktop savers are crafted from beautiful natural slate they have a riven surface which means it is naturally bumpy which will mean that they are NOT suitable to be used as a pastry or chopping board. They are polished on the sides but do not have a polished surface which makes them look beautiful and rustic.
As the slate is in it's natural form some of the pieces may have slightly different shades of grey in them.
If you are looking for a pastry board we recommend that our marble pastry board is much more efficient for rolling out pastry.
The boards have 4 small cork feet attached to the bottom to make lifting them off your work surface easier.
