Himalayan Salts
Himalayan salt is a type of rock salt (halite) that is mined from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan, near the Himalayas. It has a pinkish tint due to trace minerals like iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium.
Epsom salts
Epsom salt is rich in both magnesium and sulphate, both poorly absorbed through the stomach, are both easily absorbed through the skin.
Magnesium is the second most abundant element in human cells. It helps the body regulate over 325 enzymes and plays an important role in organizing many bodily functions, like muscle control, electrical impulses, energy production and the elimination of harmful toxins.
Sulphates play an important role in the formation of brain tissue, joint proteins and the proteins that line the walls of the digestive tract. They stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes and are thought to help detoxify the body of medicines and environmental contaminants.
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
Sodium bicarbonate provides a naturally alkaline substance with a reputation for helping to remove toxins. It can help to detoxify and alkalize your body, help to soften the skin leaving skin feeling silky soft.
Elderflower and White Jasmine Essential Oils
Elderflower and Jasmine infused oil gives a delicate elderflower fragrance infused with exotic white jasmine notes. Elderflower is naturally anti-inflammatory and rich in antioxidants and can help to protect against premature aging and free radical damage. Jasmine essential oil, is not only believed to be an aphrodisiac, but is also a cicatrisant meaning that it can be applied to the skin to help fade and eventually eliminate scarring and pock marks. It is often used by new mothers to help eliminate unwanted stretch marks.
Essential oils are not actually oils. Rather they are highly concentrated plant constituents possessing potent medicinal and cosmetic qualities. Most essential oils are high in antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Essential oils are miniscule in molecular size, meaning they can be absorbed well by the skin.
The mineral bath infusion is carefully packaged in a recycled glass jar with our signature card sleeve packaging.
