Every book is made with a completely unique piece of paper, skilfully marbled by hand in our South London studio.
Super-smooth ivory paper or a lovely textural recycled grey paper are used as a base paper, depending on the chosen colours, which are mixed carefully for each marbling run.
We use acrylic paint for its durability and vividness – they won’t rub off or dissolve but, as the books themselves are made of traditional untreated paper, we recommend keeping them away from water where possible to avoid warping.
Each book contains 240 pages (120 leaves), made from premium ivory-toned Italian paper, with a choice of subtle narrow lines or blank laid paper.
All our books are constructed by hand using thick board for sturdy, luxurious covers.
Names or initials are stamped manually in golden foil onto the front cover, and our Maker Mark is foiled on the reverse.
