Mary Kilvert's illustration pays homage to the breeds she meets whilst out walking her King Charles Spaniel Bertie. Mary says, 'I am fascinated by the number of different shapes and sizes dogs come in, and their personalities.' All her proud pooches are dressed in her signature knitted designs: the Shar Pei wears a cravat, the Boxer a Fair Isle tank, the Dalmatian sports a beret, while her own King Charles Spaniel is in a smart blue checked coat. ‘My illustrations allow adults to indulge their love of animals,’ says Mary.
