All Mere Glass pieces are made from a base of coloured, dichroic glass.
Dichroic glass is coated with an incredibly thin layer of metal which creates luminous and intense colours in the cufflinks which change as the wearer moves.The glass is has a wonderful clarity of colour in daylight then, as the light dims, it seems to glow.
Each pair of cufflinks start life as a large sheet of art glass which is cut to size by hand and decorated with paint and glass shards. Pieces of glass are layered to create the basic form of the cufflinks and then fired in the kiln to fuse the layers together. Some pieces are fired more than once to ensure the cufflinks show their best possible colour.
As we are currently out of stock for the Sterling Silver option, these are only currently available in Stainless Steel.
We pack all of our cufflinks very carefully to ensure they arrive looking their very best. We offer eco-friendly gift wrapping and can hand-write your message on a gift tag to add a personalised, finishing touch to your order.
Our orange and yellow, autumn coloured cufflinks measure approximately 1cm across.
