Nutcessity Nut Butter

Since 2016, Nutcessity founder Mike has been blending his naturally indulgent, vegan, organic & peanut-free range of nut butters.

As a peanut allergy sufferer, and a lover of tree nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans etc.) it was back in 2013 that I tried almond butter for the first time, in Perth, Australia. It was utterly delicious, rich, versatile, conveyable; all that I wanted in food.

Back in England, I couldn't find what I could in Australia - an organic, peanut-free and delicious brand of nut butter, that didn't contain loads of nasties, like palm oil and cane sugar. I noticed there was a gap in the market for what I was after.

Nutcessity began in 2016 with visits to the local Food Assembly in Fishponds, Bristol, whilst learning from others, like Harry from Gingerbeard's Preserves. Since then, the business has grown gradually and is now proud to work with over 300 independents across the country, plus partner websites - such as Not on the High Street!

We've won 4 Great Taste awards and 1 Veggie Award, and now have 8 delicious products, all made right here in England, and packed in plastic-free packaging.
