These stunning handmade, fair trade and eco friendly sari photo albums are covered with vibrant sari fabric and bound with handmade paper.
A lovely gift for someone who loves storing their treasured photos in a special album.
Each album contains 30 pages (60 sides) of recycled acid-free cotton paper which are interleaved with protective tissue paper to keep all of your most treasured photos safe. The albums can hold up to 120 standard 6x4 inch photos.
The pages are plain so you have the freedom to fill them however you choose. Photos can be attached using photo corners, spray mount or simple glue. As the pages are plain, the album could also make a fabulous scrap book or art book!
The paper is especially great for watercolour painting, however, please note we do not recommend using fountain pen as the paper is quite textured and the ink may run.

These albums have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods. The pages are made from khadda paper, which is made from recycled cotton that is left over from the massive garment industry in India. It is hand made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.
The sari’s used come from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making. This beautiful material is handmade using man-made fibres, as we are uncomfortable with the traditional methods used to make silk.
