All timber is dried to a moisture content of 10% or less, this will hopefully stop the wood from bowing/splitting or cracking. It is up to the buyer to ensure the product is kept oiled and not submerged in water aswell as being kept in a moisture free and stable environment regarding heat. A full set of maintenance/care instructions will be emailed over upon dispatch, please also get in touch if you require any further assistance regarding the product as we want you to get many years use out of it.Aftercare (Wood)Should be lightly wiped with a damp sponge (nothing harmful eg bleach or harsh cleaning sprays) and dried immediately after use. The boards should be oiled relatively frequently (depending on use). We would recommend cutting on the side which does not have the resin inset. I would also recommend lightly sanding the wood every six months.Aftercare (Resin)Clean with a soft clothWhen it comes to epoxy resin maintenance, cleaning the product with a wet soft cloth and non-abrasive chemical free household cleaner is the best way to maintain its new look. When a more thorough clean is required, a sponge and hot soapy water removes any residual build up.
